history1Within a month, this small group moved to Greenwood Park School Hall and grew to 30 members.

After steady growth over the first few years, the church moved from the Greenwood Park School Hall to the Ritz Cinema and grew to approximately 200 members.

history2In the early 90's, NCF was able to purchase its own property cash, with plans to build a 1,000 seater multi-purpose auditorium in Red Hill, Durban. The R1,000,000 Building Project began in January 1998 with an initial investment of R50,000 and took 10 months to complete. By the grace of God, He who began a good work was faithful to complete it and on Saturday 7th November 1998, Pastors, Leaders, and Christians from around the city gathered together to celebrate this momentous occasion with Drs Basil & Anne Tryon and +/-300 members of NCF. There was a capacity crowd of over 1,000 people as we dedicated the new building to the glory of God.

Membership grew from hundreds to thousands, and as a result, multiple services were introduced to accommodate the growth. However, it soon became evident that the auditorium was now too small for the rapid growth in membership. history3

Dr Basil Tryon spoke a prophetic word that the church auditorium would extend over the parking, doubling the seating capacity. Architects were engaged and plans were drafted for a new, bigger, more high tech, state of the art facility. It took approximately 5 years, from the drafting of plans to actual construction taking place. However, in June 2008, the 2nd Phase of the Building Project began, and a year later, the new facility was complete.

history4On 21 June 2009, Father's Day, the church moved into the new facility. The multimillion rand Auditorium and Hall, was dedicated on 25 July 2009, DEBT FREE with the auditrium seating 2,000 people and a multi-purpose hall which can accommodate 1,000 people. In August 2012, we added more seating which increased the seating capacity of the auditorium to 2,500.

In November 2012, we began building our new gallery in the auditorium and after a month's renovations, we held a Special Dedication Service on Sunday 16 December 2013 and dedicated the New Gallery which added an additional 1,500 seats to our auditorium now making it a 4,000 seater auditorium.

NCF currently has a membership of over 2,500 and conducts 3 weekly Celebration Services in its 4,000 seater auditorium.
